General de Gaulle on atomic energy

General de Gaulle on atomic energy

During a speech in Orange (Vaucluse), the general of GAULLE evokes his conception of national independence which, according to him, passes by the mastery of atomic weapons and more generally of nuclear energy: 'We have decided to have what we need [to defend ourselves] especially since this nuclear power is directly linked to atomic energy, which is, as you all know, the heart of tomorrow’s activity.'
