Controversial announcement by Bernard Langlois of the death of Princess Grace of Monaco
At the opening of the television news, presenter Bernard LANGLOIS casually announces the death of Princess GRACE OF MONACO, in a road accident, which occurred on the same day as the assassination of Lebanese President Bachir GEMAYEL. The irony of the journalist’s remarks, his distance from the event, especially by minimizing the importance of the princely death compared to that of the young president, caused controversy and shocked many viewers (N.B. B. Langlois will be dismissed by his management following his remarks).
