Emmanuel Le Roy Ladurie is interviewed by Bernard PIVOT about his book "Montaillou village occitan from 1294 to 1324". In 1320, the bishop of Pamiers Jacques Fournier made a kind of police investigation which allowed him to know in his most intimate aspects the population made up of cathar heretics of this ariégeois village. This investigation was retained.
