Cashier: a threatened profession?

Cashier: a threatened profession?

At the cash register of this small supermarket, Patricia DUVERNOY is well spotted. She’s been working here for over 30 years. Over the years, connections have been forged with regulars. In this local trade, friendliness and trust do a lot. Human relations that would be unthinkable with an automatic checkout. 24 employees take turns here all week, in cash or on the shelves. They are not only sellers, they are also animators of a central square of the village. With nearly 300 clients a day, many of them seniors, there is no question of going without cashiers. The profession may be threatened, but the campaigns intend to make resistance!
