The luxury factory ST Dupont, holder of the company label of living heritage
ST Dupont has just been awarded the "living heritage company" label thanks to the know-how of the workers of the Faverges factory. The artisanal work of goldsmithing, diamond plating, lacquering in the manufacture of lighters and pens benefits from 140 years of experience. A single lighter requires between 30 and 100 hours of work. The house founded in 1872 by Simon Tissot Dupont, manufactured custom travel trunks, before moving into the manufacture of gasoline lighters. The work and dexterity of the craftsmen are highlighted by the commentary, close-ups and interviews of Yohann VIARD, master lacquer maker, and Nicole ALLOTO, lacquer maker. After a brief historical review of the brand, Eric PATIN, Director of the Faverges plant confirms that production will remain French, as it contributes to its reputation and prestige.
