Mayor of Bellicourt signs petition against same-sex marriage

The same-sex marriage bill will be reviewed at the end of the month in cabinet. But if the government’s spokesperson said that no mayor can override a law, some mayors signed a petition calling for a waiver. This is the case of Marcel LECLÈRE, mayor without label of Bellicourt, in Aisne. According to him, marriage is the union of a man and a woman. He hopes for a conscience clause. This clause is also defended by Raymond FROMENT, president of the rural mayors of Aisne. The interviews of Marcel LECLÈRE and Raymond FROMENT alternate with a comment on images of the two elected in their town halls.
