Reportage. Meeting with Emmanuel Le Roy Ladurie who expresses himself on the evolution of the climate which has not changed much since the time of the Gauls but which has changed a lot since the man of Cromagnon. But scientists are warning of global warming caused by human activities.
In recent years, historian Emmanuel Le Roy Ladurie has focused on the history of climate in which he is authoritative. He published a book on climate change in France from 1860 to the present day. This is the last volume of a trilogy.
Emmanuel Le Roy Ladurie is interviewed by Bernard PIVOT about his book "Montaillou village occitan from 1294 to 1324". In 1320, the bishop of Pamiers Jacques Fournier made a kind of police investigation which allowed him to know in his most intimate aspects the population made up of cathar heretics of this ariégeois village. This investigation was retained.
