He was also jazzman, semi-professional, drummer of Django Reinhardt after the war. At 86, the voice, memory and humour are intact. Franck BAUER decided to write his memories in a book called "40 in London". A book he wrote between Paris and the small town of GIROUARD in Vendée where he has settled since his retirement.
69 years ago, on June 18, 1940, General de Gaulle launched his famous call for resistance from England. On the London Radio team, there was Frank Bauer. Today, aged 90, he lives in Paris.
