Mobilization of human rights defenders for the 50th anniversary of the UDHR

Reporting at the Palais de Chaillot, where, in parallel with the official events organized at UNESCO and the Elysée, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) have opened "General States of Human Rights", on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Participants were supported by Burmese opponent and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Aung San Suu Kyi 1991, through a video recording. The activists present call for action to defend human rights and not just words. Extract from the statement of Salima GHOZALI (Algeria), interviews with Birod NEPAL (Amnesty International Nepal), Ratna SARUMPAET (Indonesia), Aicha DABARE (Djibouti), who discuss the human rights situation in their respective countries.
