An GIA statement claims the murder of the 7 least Trappists kidnapped two months ago in Algeria, in a monastery in the Medea region. The statement was sent to a Moroccan radio station in Tangier on 21 May. The French authorities ask for confirmation of the information, before organizing the repatriation of religious and French nationals who are still in Algeria.
