Report on the history and operation of the European Court of Human Rights on the occasion of the laying of the first stone of the new Palace of Human Rights in Strasbourg. This supra-national body was created by the European Convention on Human Rights and its mission is to ensure compliance with the Convention on the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.
