Avalanche by carelessness

A deadly Avalanche in the Hautes-Alpes, in Les Orres: a group of 32 hikers, supervised by UCPA professionals who had been informed of the risks, was thrown against trees by an avalanche. Eleven dead and twenty wounded. The group consisted mainly of teenagers from a college in Montigny-le-Bretonneux (Yvelines). In recent days, the risk of avalanches was at the maximum due to the snowfall of the beginning of the week accompanied by wind. Such a tragedy is often caused by carelessness and neglect. Comment on factual images and interview Bruno GARDENT (guide and member of the Commission de sécurité de la station de La Grave, Hautes-Alpes).
