At dawn, the police forces expelled some 300 irregular foreigners who occupied the Japy gymnasium in the 11th district. This intervention provoked a controversy between the Prime Minister and ABBE PIERRE - Interview florence trintignac, "doctors of the world", about this forceful intervention of the police, humanitarian organizations could not stay there to assist pregnant women and children. Interview of ABBE PIERRE: "Either Prime Minister Alain Juppe knew that they were ready to be expelled and he lied to me, or he did not know and then he has no authority over his minister of the interior. In this case, it leaves room for others...". NB: (In return, Benoît Duquesne announced that Abbé Pierre had just declared that the Prime Minister had not promised him that he would not evacuate the gymnasium).
