Prison overcrowding: mutiny in Dijon

The mutiny that took place at the prison house of Dijon, an overcrowded old institution (300 inmates with a capacity of 160 places), is the problem of the growth of the prison population (+ 75% between 1976 and 1996) and of the "surface" Prison doesn’t follow. The detainees left the prison to be relocated elsewhere. Commentary on images of detainees leaving the premises and damage, alternating with interviews of Frédéric GRANDCOLAS, UFAP delegate and Jean MACE, regional directorate of prison administration.
