NIS Advertising Campaign
Advertising campaign of the National Union of Teachers and College Teachers for the upgrading of the teaching profession. [Cut to a shot] campaign posters being collaged: a little girl lying on her belly, wearing a pilot’s cap, with the slogan "Thanks to my teacher, I will fly with my own wings"; Passing interviews on the street: "I imagine there must be a staffing problem or a local problem.. It is a sclerotic profession, sometimes devalued. National education is a priority.. It’s a great job, it’s the future of children, it’s very important. This is a problem, in France too much money is spent on war"; [Overview] displays; interview Jean Claude BARBARANT, secretary general of the SNI -PEGC: "We trade unions of teachers of teachers and teachers of colleges know that what makes the greatness of our profession and its importance is that we take care of children, that is to say of our future. We also know that France likes its teachers but pays them poorly, so it can no longer recruit enough and yet by the year 2000 it will be necessary to recruit about 400,000 of them, doubling the promotions that cannot be filled currently. We can’t do it if the job is what it is."
