A Saint Nazaire en Loire Atlantique, une commande vient d'être passée par le groupe américain Carnival pour la construction d'un navire de croisière, le "Queen Mary 2". Ce sera le plus gros paquebot jamais construit au monde. Si ce contrat pour les chantiers de l'Atlantique est une bonne nouvelle, reste la question de la diversification, la plupart des constructions ne concernent en effet que des bateaux de croisière. Le journaliste demande l'avis de Patrick Boissier, pdg d'Alstom Marine, de Alain Allorent, secrétaire CGT du comité d'entreprise des chantiers de l'Atlantique et du maire de Saint Nazaire, Joël Batteux.
