Demonstration for the closure of a mink farm in Emagny

An amazing procession this noon in the streets of Emagny. At the call of the association "Combactive", 250 people demonstrated in this small village of Doubs. They call for the closure of the mink farm and denounce the treatment of animals killed for furs. The demonstrators came from all over France to make their voices heard. Slogans and photos shocking to mark the consciences and ask especially the closure of the mink breeding of Emagny. They were alerted by the important communication campaign funded by the Brigitte Bardot Foundation. The animal protector sent a letter to the Prefect of the Doubs yesterday. The demonstration ended with a face-to-face tense between the activists and the breeders entrenched in their farm. The activists hope that France will join countries like Austria and England which have banned mink farming. Christophe MARIE, spokesperson of the Brigitte Bardot Foundation, explains having warned the Minister of Agriculture on this subject. Fabien ROBERT, president of the Combactive association, asks that things evolve radically.
