In Meymac in Corrèze, a contemporary artist is chosen each year to illustrate the giant Advent calendar of the municipality. In 2009 the English artist, Julian OPIE created this calendar by associating the inhabitants of Meymac whose portraits he drew. The huts light up every night on the facade of St André’s Abbey.
