The temple of Abu Simbel threatened by the Aswan dam

Following the construction of the Aswan dam, the site of Abu Simbel is threatened by the sudden rise of the waters of the Nile. UNESCO is working to save this jewel from ancient Egypt. Images and plans of endangered sites, partly in the phase of submersion : temple of Philae, bas reliefs of the temple of Ouadi es Seboua, bas reliefs of the temple of Athor, statue of the Queen Nefertari, temple of Abu Simbel.
