After the Second World War, the city of Le Havre was destroyed 80%. It had to be completely rebuilt. It was architect Auguste Perret who was appointed to lead this reconstruction. A avant-garde architect, PERRET opted for reinforced concrete, offering the city classical and revolutionary architecture at the same time.
