U.S. Vice President Lyndon Johnson visited Saigon to announce U.S. decisions: doubling military aid and strengthening the US mission by several thousand men. In return, the Vietnamese government will have to engage more in the war. Commentary in English not translated on pictures of Johnson taking a crowd bath in the streets of Saigon then attending maneuvers and the explosion of a napalm bomb.
