Portrait of swimmer Léon Marchand, 17, and 3rd at the World Junior Championships 400 meters 4 swims. He has been training since childhood at the "Dauphins du TOEC" club in Toulouse at the Nakache swimming pool, a major swimming centre in France. He is the son of swimmer Xavier Marchand, vice-world champion of the 200 meters 4 swims in 1998, whose time he beat: "I was proud to beat my father’s time".
