Manufacture of women’s silhouettes before exhibition on 25 November
As part of the International Day to Combat Violence against Women, the Departmental Mission for Women’s Rights is preparing an exhibition for 25 November. Manufactured by "La Machinerie", a reintegration workshop, 166 white silhouettes symbolizing the number of women who died of domestic violence in 2009, will be exhibited in front of the prefecture of Le Mans. Interviews with Leila LOUHIBI, Departmental Coordinator for Women’s Rights, Patrick BROSSARD, Social Development Officer at Machinerie, and Mohamed AMALOU, employee of the site, alternate with images of the design of silhouettes in workshop.
