Nadine Labaki on her first film Caramel

Nadine LABAKI, director, talks about her first film entitled "Caramel" and selected in the Directors' Fortnight. She explains that the intention of the film is not political. She believes that the young Lebanese, the young generation, no longer want to talk about war but about everyday life. Despite her wish, a week after the shooting, the war broke out in Lebanon, she felt guilty to make a non-political film. But she finally believes that her film is "a message of peace".
