Interview in English (subtitled) by Nina SIMONE, sitting in front of her piano. She gave her opinion on the Clarence THOMAS affair, which inflamed America and welcomed her election. She thinks that people like her and Miriam Makeda can open doors for blacks in the United States and South Africa, She is pleased that the situation of blacks in the world, is no longer the same as in the 1960s. She regrets not having been able to make a career as a classical pianist, she concluded with emotion "I would have been happier, I am not very happy right now".
