Charlie Watts on the Rolling Stones audience

Charlie Watts, the drummer of the Rolling Stones, is interviewed by Georges Gomelski. He shares his impressions on their tour in Europe: "We always thought we had to distinguish ourselves in Paris, I don’t know why". He then recalls their last tour in the United States: "It was wonderful, because it was the first time I felt a real appreciation of the Rolling Stones". He concludes by saying that what he is looking for in concert is to move the feet of the audience, not their heads. His words are translated by Patrice Blanc Francard.
