Gay Protest in the United States

In 1970, gays in New York decided to commemorate the first anniversary of the Stonewall revolt. At the initiative of the Gay Liberation Front led by Craig RODWELL, on June 28, 1970, 2,000 gays ascend the 6th avenue between Waverly Place (Greenwich Village) and Central Park. The protest was then called the "Christopher Street Liberation Parade" and its official slogan was "Come Out!".
