First Franco-Spanish summit in Madrid: François Mitterrand talks about "Honeymoon"
Claude SERILLON interviews François MITTERRAND on a visit to Madrid for the first Franco-Spanish summit. The French president is delighted with the improvement of diplomatic relations between Spain and France, even if things remain to be settled: "The major problems have been settled, disputes that have separated Spain and France for decades... We can call it a "honeymoon" because the big problems were the Basque problem and Spain’s entry into the common market, all this is in a way behind us...".
