In response to the invasion of Kuwait by Iraq, George HW BUSH strongly condemned the actions of Baghdad and called for the immediate withdrawal of Iraqi forces. The United States has decided to suspend all commercial relations with Iraq and to block all Iraqi and Kuwaiti assets in American banks. The American president is not yet considering military intervention.
