Restructuring and tourism development of the hamlet of La Bérarde in Isère
The hamlet of La Bérarde is located between the Ecrins and La Meije. This coveted place in summer is deserted in winter. Since 1974 this place is classified nature reserve. It is however dilapidated and the rules of urbanism are ignored. Xavier CHARPE, mayor of the town tackles non-compliance with the rules and advocates tourism development. Some citizens oppose the views of the mayor, arguing that it is not necessary to waste public money on a possible restructuring of the hamlet.
