Alain Geismar, leader of the Maoists and Jean-Paul Sartre, went to Boulogne. Alain GEISMAR leaves a wreath. Outside the factory, Jean Paul SARTRE tries to talk to the workers but the doors remain closed. Interviewed, he explains: "...it is clear that we do not want the workers to tell the truth (...), there was an assassination, it is certain that the management is responsible for it in the first place and that second, the weapon of this man was not by chance in his pocket".

The incidents at the Renault Billancourt factory caused the death of the young Maoist, Pierre Overney. After the events, journalist Dominique LAURY, microphone in hand, interviews two men. One of the two, sobs in the Eplic voice: "...he had taken a bullet in the heart, there were no problems (...), he was my best friend (...), Pierrot, we just called him Pierrot that’s all...".

In a press conference, Renault CEO Pierre DREYFUS talks about the death of Pierre Overney killed by a guard at the Renault Billancourt factory. In the name of the management, he says he regrets this death but condemns the actions of the Maoists: "...this death we, the management, we deeply regret it...", then he adds "...this aggression, it continues, even now, probably, once again because, the entire Billancourt factory rejected the Maoists...".
